Archimedean 2nd Grade 2026-27 Student & Classroom Supply List

STUDENT SUPPLY KIT

The student supply kit will be delivered to the student’s classroom on the first day of school.

These supplies will remain in your child's book bag:

Students must always have the following materials in their pencil pouch. The pencil pouch remains with the student in his/her backpack. Please replace these items throughout the school year:

• 1 zipper pencil case stocked with:
  • 1 non-electric pencil sharpener with shaving container
  • 1 pair of blunt tip scissors
  • 1 eraser
  • 5 sharpened pencils
  • 1 box of 24 crayons
  • 1 glue stick
  • 1 stylus pen for iPad (not included)
• 6 plastic duo-tang folders with pockets (labeled with student's name):
  • Purple Folder: Reading/ELA (only one that will remain in the classroom)
  • Red Folder: Reading/ELA
  • Green Folder: American Math
  • Blue Folder: Greek Math
  • Orange Folder: Greek Language
  • Yellow Folder: Science

These supplies will remain in the classroom:

• 5 regular wide-ruled composition notebooks labeled with the student's name:
  • Language Arts/Reading
  • Science
  • Greek Language
  • Greek Math
  • American Math
• 1 graph composition quad 4x4 notebook labeled with student's name

CLASSROOM KIT

These items will remain in your child's homeroom.

• 3 boxes of 24 crayons
• 48 sharpened pencils
• Yellow, Blue, and Green Sharpie highlighters (one of each)
• 1 purple pen
• 1 blue pen
• 4 white erasers (NO pencil toppers)
• 1 ruler: 12 inch/centimeter with "0" mark and clear
• 1 headphones (inside Ziploc bag labeled with student's name) – MUST HAVE USB-C JACK
• 6 large Elmer's glue sticks (NOT liquid glue)
• 1 pack white lined index cards 3” x 5”

BOYS

• 1 pack Expo Brand markers (black thick)
• 1 box of Ziploc bags, quart size, with zip closure
• 2 packages of white copy paper
• Magic Eraser (pack of 2)
• Color cardstock

GIRLS

• 1 pack of thick Expo Brand markers (assorted colors)
• 1 box of Ziploc bags, gallon size, with zip closure
• 1 ream of colored paper 8 x 11 (5-color assorted pack)
• 1 package of wide-ruled notebook paper (120+ sheets)
• White cardstock
• 1 bottle EXPO Brand white board cleaner

FOR ART

• Sketchbook / Sketchpad 9 x 12 (100 pages)
• 1 small canvas 8x10
• 1 White Gum eraser
• 2 charcoal pencils or sticks

NOTE FROM 2ND GRADE TEACHERS

Zuca or rolling bookbags are not allowed.
